This small republic of 52,000 km2
is located between the Caribbean Sea and the Pacific
Ocean. People over the world are greatly admired for
the nature, the fauna and the plentiful national parks.
This country doesn’t have an army nor nuclear plants,
it has an extraordinary weather, there is small
illiteracy.
The words that best describe Costa Rica could be “pura
vida”, synthesis for “pure life” and this is exactly
what you’ll find, from the hospitality of the “ticos”
to the admirable biodiversity throughout our
landscapes.
In San Jose, our country’s capital, we recommend you to
visit the National Museum to look at Costa Rica’s
archaeology, colonial furniture, costumes and religious
art; the Pre-Columbian Museum holds the most amazing
gold pieces. Also visit our National Theater, built in
the 1890s, where theater plays, operas, symphonic
concerts, dance and ballet take place.

landscape variety and destinations. With more than 15
different ecosystems, the landscapes and the weather
change repeatedly, exposing a huge range of nature and
fauna.
If you can spear some time in your agenda, you could
observe a spectacular eruption from the Arenal Volcano,
the relaxing warmth of a thermal spring or a quick trip
through the roof of the cloud forest, the observation
of birds, adventures, sport fishing, diving, or simply
relax in a beautiful tropical beach.
